NEW (old) BOOK OF THE WEEK

This rare guide is the "go to" book for anyone's 2e Spelljammer Campaign. I just received it today and after a brief perusal, I am floored by the amount of information, rules for Groundlings in space, new races and a chapter on Campaign design, all make this a great book to add to anyone's collection.

Mainstream Geek

I am sure by now most of you have seen the new World of Warcraft commercials featuring stars like Ozzy Osborne and Verne Troyer. I just want to say: WHERE WERE THESE WHEN I WAS YOUNG! When I was a kid I could only wish that a RPG, any RPG, would get this type of mainstream acceptance. Actors and Rock stars on television saying "I'm a Mage." How frickin' cool is that!

New (old) Book Of the Week

Manual of the Planes by Jeff Grubb is the new (old) book of the week. Since I have not be able to get my hands on a copy of Deities and Demigods (1e) I am not sure how it compares with the discussions of the Planes But I have found it to be a fount of information on how to travel about the planes. My personal favorite is the descriptions of the Outer Planes

Restarting a game in progress.

So now that the Holidays are over and vacations are ending, games are picking back up. Tomorrow my group is playing their first game since before Thanksgiving. I've looked over my notes and the module but I am feeling apprehensive. I wonder if it will take some time for the group to coalesce or perhaps the time spent not playing might of helped to focus the group. Did your games stop over the holidays? Has it picked back up and if so how is it going?
